A man has recounted how he was attacked for standing up for an effeminate man who was being humiliated.

He said the humiliation happened at school and the same people traced him to his house and attacked him at night because he stood up for the victim at school.

He thought he would die during the attack because one of the attackers had him in a choke hold, he said.

He revealed that he was saved when his sister came in and raised alarm.
