Here is what fans are saying about the Davido’s N100 million ‘Feel’ video

Davido, one of Nigeria’s most celebrated music artists, has once again made waves in the music industry with his latest release, the music video for his hit song Feel.

Directed by the renowned TG Omori, the video has sparked intense discussions among fans, leaving them divided over its creativity and its alignment with the song’s message.

The extravagant production, estimated to have cost 100 million naira, has been the talk of the town since its release. Fans were quick to express their opinions, and the reactions have been nothing short of passionate.

On one side of the debate are those who hailed the video as a cinematic masterpiece. The production value is undeniably high, with lavish sets, stunning visuals, and intricate choreography that rival those of major Nollywood productions. The video takes viewers on a visual journey, replete with jaw-dropping scenes that could easily belong in a big-budget movie.

However, not everyone was fascinated by the video’s extravagance. Some fans were scratching their heads, wondering if the video’s grandness overshadowed the essence of the song itself. They argued that the storyline and visuals seemed disconnected from the song’s meaning.

The song Feel carries themes of emotion and love in its lyrics. Some fans believed that the music video’s trailer which shows extravagant scenes of suffering and the video’s dramatic sequences didn’t quite align with the song’s message, making it feel more like a Nollywood blockbuster than a music video. For them, the disconnect between the song’s message and the video’s extravagant presentation was jarring. As the music video was released, a couple of fans retracted their statements saying that they had judged prematurely after only seeing the trailer.
