Four (4) Killed As Helicopter Crashes Into A Farm

The Federal Aviation Administration in California has reported a helicopter crash that killed 4 people during the weekend.

The accident occurred on Sunday, August 1 at a remote area of Northern California and the FAA says it is investigating it.

Reports say that the helicopter plummeted from the sky and crashed into a tomato farm.

Colusa County Sheriff’s Department, the Robinson R66 chopper reports that it crashed at about 1:15pm, about 65 miles northwest of Sacramento.

Deputies and Sacramento River Fire officers are said to have found 4 passengers still inside the helicopter after it crashed.They were all declared dead at the scene and their identities yet to be revealed formally.

Walt Seaver who owns the tomato farm where the crash occurred said he did not see any smoke as the aircraft came down.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation and the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will work together to find out exactly the cause.

The FAA said they will release the helicopter’s tail number when their investigations verify it at the scene. The Colusa County Sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate the scene of the crash and is trying to interview anyone who witnessed the incident.
