Three personnel of the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCS) have lost their lives in a fatal road crash.

The incident occured along Maiduguri-Damaturu high on Sunday while the NCS personnel were returning from a wedding that took place in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The officers were serving at the Medium Security Correctional Centre in Potiskum town, Yobe State.

THE MEDIA gathered that the deceased are: Ibrahim Ibrahim Kori, Ibrahim Garba Adamu and Abdullahi Usman.

The remains of the deceased have since been committed to the mother earth on Monday after a funeral prayer was held at the Palace of Fika Emir in Potiskum town, Yobe State.

In attendance was the Emir of Fika and Chairman Yobe Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idrissa, alongside hundreds of other people.
