Nobody needs to hear your thoughts on success – Actress Jameela Jamil rips Kim Kardashian’s viral work ethic advice
Actress Jameela Jamil has slammed, reality show star, Kim Kardashian, for telling womem to ‘get off their asses and work.’
Recall that on Wednesday March 9, Variety released a lengthy interview with the Kardashians about their upcoming show. At some point in the video, Kim said that women should get up and work.
The mother of four was quoted saying;
“I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f***ing a** up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days.
“You have to surround yourself with people that want to work. Have a good work environment where everyone loves what they do, because you have one life. No toxic work environments and show up and do the work.”
But she wasn’t the only one to catch flak for the comment, to which her sister Kourtney responded, “That’s so true.” Fans flocked to social media to remind Kourtney that she often complained about working on their former series, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
Jameela who responded to Kim’s comment, told her that no one needs to hear her thoughts about success. She also reminded the reality show star of her ‘privileged’ life.
The outspoken actress who continued tackling the wealthy family who recently defended their blockbuster nine-figure deal for their new Hulu reality series, “The Kardashians”, stated that though they are a “super impressive family of businesswomen” and have “a genius manager in their mother as well as their own hard work and personal sacrifices,” they’ve always altered their photos and “misled people” about their beauty claims.
She concluded that the family should just “take the money, use it for good and chill the f–k out when lecturing others about grind and hustle. And learn how to brag without putting others down who have less.”
Jameela wrote;
“I think if you grew up in Beverly Hills with super successful parents in what was simply a smaller mansion … Nobody needs to hear your thoughts on success/work ethic
“This same 24 hours in the day s–t is a nightmare. 99.9% of the world grew up with a VERY different 24 hours.
Not the day after IWD… They are a super impressive family of businesswomen and are products of a ridiculously good start and a genius manager in their mother as well as their own hard work and personal sacrifices. Plus a LOT of photoshop and a decision to not care about misleading people about their beauty claims whilst never disclosing how much secret work goes into their appearances… that they make most of their money from. And a huge amount of money made from questionable diet/detox products and waist trainers.
They shouldn’t be asked about their secret to success. They shouldn’t answer those questions. It’s all obvious to everyone, and I hope nobody holds themselves to the standards of people who were raised by millionaires.
Just take the money, use it for good and chill the fuck out when lecturing others about grind and hustle. And learn how to brag without putting others down who have less.
This is not the first time self-proclaimed “feminist-in-progress” Jamil has found herself at odds with the Kardashians.
Over the last several years, she’s publicly criticized them for promoting unrealistic body standards, not being forthcoming about the surgical work they’ve had done and endorsing potentially dangerous “diet” products.
In June 2020, Jamil vowed to stop calling out “harmed and deluded” Kim, claiming that she felt her years-long work was finally done.
