Multiple Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and performer Tems has joined Wizkid as the only African and Nigerian artists to ever bag this award.

Tems was crowned the best new artist at the Soul Train award 2022, making it her second win at the award ceremony and also making her the first and only female African artist to bag the prestigious award. This is Tems’ second win, and she joins the Starboy Wizkid as the only African artists to receive such a prestigious award.

This is one of the many wins the singer has received in 2022 so far, alongside three grammy nominations as well.

Tems has continued to represent the music industry on many levels, setting unprecedented feats and breaking the existing barrier.
