The manager of Chelsea Football Club, Thomas Tuchel has broken the silence about the news making the rounds of his contract extension.

The German was speaking at a press conference ahead of the Blues Premier League game against Leeds United on Sunday, August 21st, 2022.

According to him, talks for a contract extension has started between his people and the club.

There are talks, but I think given the solution where we come from and where we are right now, in the middle of a transfer period, I think it is best that I focus on my team and being competitive. You know how glad I am happy to be here and how much I like it. It is a good thing.

The German signed a contract extension with the club after he won the UEFA Champions League in 2021. Tuchel’s current deal with the Blues will end at the summer of 2024.
