Unforgettable Moments Of BBNaija Shine Ya Eye Reality Show

There is no doubt that the ongoing BBNaija Shine Ya eye reality show, which ends tomorrow (Sunday), has undoubtedly had some twists which will remain indelible in the minds of ardent fans of the show. Saturday Beats takes a look at five of those unforgettable moments

Unforgettable Moments Of BBNaija Shine Ya Eye Reality Show

Unveiling of the wild cards

Housemates were shocked when Maria and Pere were revealed as the wild cards on the show. Wild cards are fake housemates placed in the house by Big Brother to add a twist to the show. Early in the show, other housemates were asked to predict who the wild cards were. If the wildcards were correctly guessed, they would have left the show. But, the housemates failed to decipher who they were and the duo remained in the show to compete for the grand prize of N90 million.

Clash between Whitemoney and Pere

Viewers of the show will not forget in a hurry the first major fight of this season which was between Pere, fondly called Major General, and the ‘chef’ of the house, Whitemoney.

During his reign as the Head of House, Pere had asked Whitemoney to stop cooking for the housemates, but that decision did not go down well with the other housemates. At another time, Pere approached Whitemoney menacingly, asking him a question and acting like he wanted to remove his belt, which many took to mean that he was ready for a brawl.

Other housemates accused Pere of bullying Whitemoney and Maria asked him to apologoise to Whitemoney, though he refused to do that.

Introduction four new housemates

Two weeks into the show, a twist was added to the game when four new contestants were introduced into the house.

The new housemates— Michael, JMK, Kayvee and Queen—were introduced shortly after the first set of evictees— Yerins, Niyi and Beatrice— left the show. However, Kayvee later voluntarily withdrew from the show due to health concerns.

Saga and Nini’s ‘relationship’

Undoubtedly, one of the highlights of the game was the relationship between Nini and Saga. Though Nini made it known to Saga that she had a boyfriend outside the house, that did not stop the latter from being very close to her until they were both evicted on Sunday, September 26, 2021.

In the course of the show, Big Brother gave Saga a task to fake a fight with Nini and win 200 Abeg Naira upon completion of the task. However, Saga eventually told Nini about the task, and that earned him a strike from Big Brother.

On another occasion, Big Brother whisked Nini to a secret room in the house, while keeping other housemates in the dark about her whereabouts. In her absence, Saga became agitated and went round the house looking for her. At a point, he also demanded answers from Big Brother. He later sat in a part of the house sobbing while it rained on him.

After some time, Nini returned to join the other housemates.

Pere versus Angel

On Sunday, September 26, 2021, Pere and Angel faced fake eviction during the Sunday live show and were pitted against each other for them to remain as finalists on the show. The duo was secluded in a ‘white room’ in the house and had to battle their way back into the show through ‘trucks and screwdrivers’, according to Big Brother. The voting poll however showed that Pere had 25.31 per cent of votes cast, while Angel had 14.63 per cent.

Reacting to the difference in the votes, fans of Pere protested, stating that it was unfair for Pere to be made to go through the twist when he was visibly ahead of Angel in the polls.

However, on the following day, the duo returned to join the remaining housemates.
