Giovanni Pezzoli Biography

John Pezzoli was an Italian drummer. He was born in Bologna on May 14, 1952 and passed away on December 29, 2022

It is well known because he was the drummer for the band Stadio together with Gaetano Curreri, Marco Nanni, Ricky Portera, and Fabio Liberatori. He was also a co-founder of the band.


His first real battery, as a teenager, was a blue Trixon Cortina Combi  

His instrumentation on tour is as follows:  

  • Mapex Orion-Special Edition (built especially for him)  
  • Vic Firth AS5B drumsticks
  • Paiste Signature Cymbals
  • DW and Mapex Falcon pedals

Cause Of Death

On March 25, 2016, he was diagnosed with a life-threatening disease. His health began to deteriorate in November 2022, which resulted in his being admitted to the hospital; on the evening of December 29, 2022, the Stadio made the announcement that he had vanished. About
